I sit down in the living room. Some people are sitting on the floor, and some are in chairs, while others crowd together on a huge couch. I take a seat in an empty wood chair near the corner of the room.
It is completely silent until I sit down, because at this point my old chair decides to creak loudly.
Everybody turns their heads to see what happened, and I try to make a quick exit. But of course, everyone is watching me, so that's practically impossible. Crap. Just got to leave before-
"Who the hell is that?" I hear a familiar voice say, and I turn around and see that it was Jeff who was speaking. He already has a knife out... great.
I watch as Masky takes Jeff's knife out of his hands and throws it across the room.
"That's mine!" Jeff yells impaitently. "And you didn't answer my question. Do you even know who that is?"
I can't see behind Masky's disguise, but I hear him chuckling from behind it. "That's Lynn," he says. "Remember her?"
Jeff looks at him in surprise. "How is that Lynn? Lynn was… normal."
I am almost offended by his comment, but then I think about it. He is kind of right. I shrug it off and decide to talk to them.
"I am normal," I say. "My appearance changed, that's all."
"Well you look freaking weird," says Jeff, and he starts laughing like the pyschopath he is.
Not even realizing what's going on before its happened, tendrils shoot out of my back and grab on to Jeff's throat, choking him. He gasps for breath helplessly, and I am reminded of what I saw in the other room between Slenderman and Smexy. I drop him quickly.
Why did I do that... crap. I run over quickly, my tendrils dragging on the ground behind me. "I am so sorry, I don't even know wh-"
Jeff pulls me into a headlock and puts his knife to my neck. Oh God. There is a knife on my neck. He is going to kill me. I quickly try to summon my camouflage I had in the hallway earlier.
It apparently is sucessful, because Jeff drops his knife in disbelief and I slip out of his grip. I start racing to the other room. I stop at the corner and look back
Jeff looks around for a second stunned. But then, his sanity snaps and that surprise turns to rage and hatred.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" he yells pyschotically, obviously having gone insane. "GO TO SLEEP!"
I stand in the corner, too scared to move or run out of fear that he might hear me. Or that I might kill him. I slide to the ground and put my hands around my knees. I feel like a coward, but I will probably be tortured and brutally murdered for running.
But Eyeless Jack walks over and slaps Jeff in the face, to everybody's surprise. The room goes silent once more. Jeff's left eye seems to twitch slightly, even though he appears to be missing his eyelid.
"Jeff!" He yells. "Calm down! She didn't mean it, it was an accident. She's probably pretty freaked out too."
Jeff's carved smile grows wider and he grabs and slices Eyeless Jack's arm. "Maybe you can go to sleep first. Sweet dreams!" He screams.
That's it. I can't stay here. I grab a random knife thats hanging on the wall that I'm sitting next to. Just in case I need it in an emergency. and run out the door. You don't care about them, I tell myself. They're all just murderers. They tried to kill you! Even though I tell myself this, I still feel guilty for leaving. I look back and see that they all are fighting. Crap. I run faster, knowing I will guilt myself into going back if I keep watching the violence.
I continue running into the forest. The trees thicken, and soon I can hardly see the sky under all the thick branches. I slow down a bit, but keep a steady pace that's still very quick. But eventually, I get tired and begin to walk. I look up at the sky. I can see the sunset... its been that long already? Then how long will it take me to get back to the mansion...
I decide my best chance is to just camouflage myself near a big tree and sleep there for the night. I'll head back in the morning. Hopefully by then it won't be so violent. My tendrils drag behind me once more as I walk over to a mossy old tree. I yawn and lay my head down against one of its roots. I didn't realize how tired I was... before I can blend in, I fall asleep.
I hear footsteps and I wake up. I look around and quickly blend in, afraid its one of Slenderman's proxies.
It is. It turns out to be Jeff, and Masky is following behind him. They appear to be having an arguement about something, so I listen in.
"... and you always are killing. Nothing else in your life. Don't you ever get tired of that? Want something more?" Masky sounds really upset about this.
Jeff shakes his head. "Nope."
Masky continues trying to persuade Jeff. "Not even a little bit. Cmon. I know you must feel just a LITTLE bit guilty about all those people you killed. Hundreds of innocent lives, all taken away by you."
"My name is Jeff the Killer. Killing is my life. Without it, I wouldn't be me. So no, I don't feel guilty about killing anyone."
"Even your parents?"
There is a long silence before Jeff finally speaks, his voice quieter.
"You know I don't like to talk about that, Masky."
"So I was right," says Masky triumphantly.
"NO!" says Jeff defensively. "I just... you know what, forget about it. You wouldn't get it. Just get the girl out of the freaking bag already. This place will do.
My attention is drawn to a bag Masky is carrying. I didn't notice it before... oh my God. No, that can't be....
But it is. Masky turns the bag upside down, revealing a teary eyed little girl inside. She falls out of the sack and quickly and stands up. She looks only about five, and she holds an old stuffed cat in her arms.
"Bring me back to Mommy," she cries. "I wanna go home!"
"We killed Mom-" Jeff begins, but is cut off by Masky.
"You can't go home right now," he says sweetly . He kneels down beside the young girl and places his hands on her shoulders. "But I promise that you'll be with your Mommy soon."
The little girl has tears running down her cheeks, and she sniffles sadly. "Pinky promise?" She says.
"Pinky Promise," says Masky, and they interlock fingers for a moment. I sit there in amazement as I watch this killer be sweet to the little girl he is about to murder. My heart breaks for her, but I can't do anything about it.
"I wish she wouldn't have to be killed," Masky says when the little girl starts walking around.
"Well, I wish I could kill her." says Jeff, obviously annoyed with the situation.
Wait. If he's not going to kill her, and neither is Masky, then... oh no.
Static fills my ears and I hear thundering footsteps in the distance. They get closer. And closer. Until Slenderman stops right in front of the girl.
He is in that freakish form I have seen him be in several times now, and he is about 17 or so feet tall now. He grins, reavealing a mouth of razor sharp teeth, all pure white. His tendrils fly around excitedly, and it looks like there are hundreds of them. They are sharp and look like they could easily stab someone... I stare at the girl nervously, knowing what's going to happen but dreading it. She backs up in terror.
"Finally," he says. "I haven't eaten in a week." He picks up the little girl. She begins to scream, and he snaps her neck like a twig, silencing her forever. He grins once more before stretching his mouth to an inhuman size and devouring the girl whole.
I watch in horror, and Jeff and Masky seem to feel the same. Jeff drops his knife, and Slenderman turns around. He seems to be angered. But then I see he has lost all sanity. He obviously isn't the same Slenderman I'm used to. He's a monster. He grabs Jeff with his tendrils, and I see quickly this isn't going to end well.
"JEFF!" Masky screams, horrified. "Let him go!"
Jeff struggles in Slenderman's grip, and Slenderman grins in a murderous joy. "Masky, help!" yells Jeff. His eyes fill with fear, and I see him stop struggling. He has accepted his death.
I can't just let him die. I know he tried to kill me, and I don't like him either, but I won't let him be murdered. I burst out of the trees and run towards Slenderman.
"No!" I scream, and grab Jeff with my own tendrils. I throw him to the tree I was hiding under, and look up at Slenderman. He looks surprised. And angry. He lets out a growl-like sound and grabs me with his tendrils.
I look over at Jeff and see him, rubbing his head and looking at me from the tree. "Lynn...?" He says, obviously confused and dazed.
I shift my gaze back over to Slenderman. He lifts up a clawed hand, and prepares to strike me. Thousands of thoughts run through my head. I know he is going to kill me, but I am unusually calm. I feel like I saved Jeff, and Slenderman and Masky will be fine too. I have no regrets. Because somehow, deep inside, I still love Slenderman. And I feel like a part of him feels the same way.
My only concerns are for my family. I wonder if they think that by now I won't be returning. I will miss them so much. I love them... I can't ever see them again... but I don't have time to think about any more.
I watch as the hand flies towards my face, and I feel a flash of pain. My vision blurs and the light fades, and everything goes black.
